The Outsider's Column: "No More Half Steppin'"

What does healthcare and abduction have to do with art? Creativity? Entrepreneurship? Everything. Look at the images produced as a result of threatened medical services, the numerous efforts birthed by citizens across the US, and the ways business professionals were independently channeling ways to assist those who would have lost least.

Obamacare won and while the media celebrated its challenges more than its win, there seems to be a loom of frustration and neglect going 'round. President-elect Donald Trump refuses to take the blame for his plans failure and yet we're back to feeling disappointed in him and neglectful of the true effects of his dismissive attitude toward failure. As the leader elected leader of the free world, he often pivots to contradictory events of the past and insufficient data to stand on his failures which is a perspective commonly taken but not on such a large scale.

For instance, at its most basic level, when you got caught talking in class did you or did you not point out the fact others were talking too? In turn, did your teacher tell you to worry about yourself? It's an annoying chastisement, and in its annoyance, humanity hasn't grasped the concept of truly worrying about oneself.

Failures are nothing but hiccups and distractions to deter your focus in times where you're approaching a major feat or accomplishment. Blaming failures on external affairs only stifles your growth and in the laws of the universe, you'll ultimately have to learn this lesson in another way. The source of a lot of our  frustrations comes from neglecting our failures and placing their weight on a similarly faulty external variable.

The healthcare win for the majority of the country represents the resilience we need to endure challenges and Barack's Obamacare acted as the constant we all must be. As the character of the program was constantly attacked, its effects spoke for it time and time again. From how its kept citizens alive to how its temporary cancellation disrupted the flow of so many lives.

In that same vein we have to almost meditatively let our challenges pass us by, identifying them as such is necessary, but perpetual focus and energy towards them is self destructive. This Monday, we woke up with our healthcare back right, breath in our bodies and victory at our grasp so it's only right for motivation to strike like lightning this week.
