With the original spirit of hip-hop, DMV-native Sinsier asks hip-hop to save him as opposed to the traditional narrative of how the genre saved him. He speaks from the spirit of grit in the first half with slight criticism of the current state, and then lays into the nuances on the second half. Best illustrated by the this Original Orange, “Dear Dilla” off of his latest “199x: Nostalgia”, honors the original spirit of hip-hop in the past, analyzes the present, while projecting the future.

Orange, as the color of creativity and self respect, this track is a representation of the creatively authentic spirit of hip-hop. While honoring legend J Dilla, mentioning Madlib, yet switching the beat to a more contemporary sound mid-track, he showcases how the genre can exist in both spaces. Hip-hop purists are often distinguished from any other tribe stemming from the genre, but both occupy space here.

Scenically, this track will work well in retail spaces like sneaker stores/boutiques and a sweet airport track whether you’re walking to your gate or waiting there.
